Technological Detritus
These artworks are made from old electronics.
They are an extension of my technological ecosystem, made from cables, VCRs, video game parts, and other discarded electronic items.
This e-waste marks the beginning of the end of the Earth as we knew it.
As a young millennial, I find myself attached to my old electronic devices. We spend every day together. They are now a part of me.
When they "die" these objects can be reincarnated by taking surface rubbings.
These rubbings hold special information about the object and the owner.
Shown at Center for Contemporary Art & Culture in Portland, Oregon in May 2023
