Cable Fields

I started my Cable Field paintings at the end of 2023, and they are based off of original etchings that I've been working on for a few years. 

These are fun, quick drawings made by placing cables or other electronics under the support (in this case canvas), and rubbing an oil stick over top to get an impression. When repeated, the image starts to resemble a natural landscape, which is interesting to me when compared to the materials they’re made from: electric cables.
